Built and shipped a merchant-message service powering the Merchant App inbox and in-app notice banners, migrating merchant messaging off the legacy monolith with dual-write and a feature-flagged rollout to every merchant.
Designed the datastore capacity and sharding strategy for high-volume merchant messaging — shard-key analysis, index and TTL policy — and documented the decision to stay on a single replica set instead of sharding.
Delivered deterministic field-level encryption for merchant contact data: flag-gated dual-write, Airflow backfill pipelines, and a staged rollout plan reviewed with SRE.
Ran production on-call for the merchant platform — root-caused GraphQL error-rate spikes, Redis circuit-breaker trips and payment status mismatches, then shipped the fixes and guardrails behind them.
Built the team's AI engineering toolkit — shared skills for design docs, RFCs and implementation — and rolled it out across the organization alongside a lighter RFC/ADR practice.
Mentored the 2026 intern cohort: scoped their tickets, reviewed their code, and ran feedback sessions.
